WTM London: Showcasing Greece’s Enhanced Presence
WTM London is one of the largest and most influential exhibitions in the travel industry, bringing together key players from top destinations worldwide each year. I’ve been attending WTM London for many years on behalf of Stix, and I have often noticed that Greece’s presence, represented by the Greek National Tourism Organisation (EOT), has historically been modest considering the country’s unique appeal.
However, this year was different. Greece made a remarkable impression as WTM London’s Premier Partner. Not only were there more Greek exhibitors than in previous years, but Greece’s visibility was elevated throughout the venue. From the entrance to the media center and even the floor advertising, Greek visuals and messaging were everywhere, capturing the attention of visitors.
It was especially rewarding to meet with our client, Athens Day Cruise, who exhibited within the GNTO stand. Their booth experienced heightened interest from attendees, reflecting the increased attention on Greece as a standout destination this year.
Overall, the elevated presence and engagement made for a successful visit, and I look forward to seeing how this renewed energy will translate into new opportunities for Greek tourism in the year ahead.
